Arts and Sciences is at the core of a Fisher education. We offer graduate and undergraduate degrees and minors in more than 20 undergraduate academic disciplines. The Fisher Core, required of every undergraduate student, reflects the deeply held values of the University and provides students with a broad and engaged liberal arts education that prepares them to be lifelong learners and leaders in our community. Every degree program in the School allows students the freedom to explore their field and to understand how to apply their learning into future careers. Students often double major or minor in multiple areas, taking advantage of the clear pathways towards degree completion and the multiple opportunities to explore their favorite subjects and to pursue their passions and their vocations.
The School of Arts and Sciences prepares students for careers and graduate programs in a range of fields: from cybersecurity to the law, from film production to chemical analysis.
We offer pre-law, pre-medical and pre-dental programs. We collaborate closely with the School of Business to support an accelerated MBA. We have accelerated degrees in collaboration with the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education, the Wegmans School of Nursing, and the Wegmans School of Pharmacy to enable students to complete accelerated graduate educational programs in mental health counseling, education and pharmaceutical studies.
We offer a wide variety or undergraduate research experiences from students from life sciences to history, support robust study abroad programs and provide advising support for students to pursue internationally competitive scholarship programs like Fulbright and Goldwater.
Perhaps most importantly, our highly qualified faculty actively engage with all our students to support the pursuit of their goals and their passions.
