Overview

Management is the art and science of leading people, building effective teams, making strategic decisions, and managing resources to achieve organizational goals. At its core, management is about creating value—through people, processes, innovation, and ethical leadership. Whether navigating uncertainty, fostering collaboration, or driving performance, effective managers are the key to organizational success.

At St. John Fisher, our management major prepares students to lead with purpose, adapt with agility, and deliver results. Our curriculum emphasizes practical, experiential learning and is grounded in leadership, organizational behavior, operations, strategy, and data-informed decision-making. Through projects, internships, and real-world case studies, students develop the critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills employers’ demand.

Graduates of our program are “Day 1 Ready”—equipped to contribute immediately upon entering the workforce. They pursue dynamic careers in areas such as human resource management, project management, consulting, operations, sales, entrepreneurship, and general management roles across industries including healthcare, finance, nonprofits, technology, and manufacturing.

Whether working for a Fortune 500 company, a start-up, or launching their own venture, our graduates are prepared to make a difference—starting on day one.
