Program Requirements
The Athletic Performance major, based on aspects of psychology, physics, biology, and nutrition, prepares students to optimize health, well-being, and athletic performance outcomes founded on professional evidence-based practices.
B.S. in Athletic Performance
All required and elective courses that may be applied to the major are included in the determination of the grade point average in the major.

B.S. in Athletic Performance with a Concentration in Strength and Conditioning
Students pursuing certification in the NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS) must complete all the requirements for the B.S. in Athletic Performance before completing the additional requirements below. This includes 300 hours of field experience with a CSCS®-certified instructor. Students must earn grades of "C" or higher in all courses in the content area.

Note: One-half of all required credits for the athletic performance degree must be completed at Fisher. The B.S. in Athletic Performance with a Concentration in Strength and Conditioning requires ATHP 300, 336, 337, 338, 490, and BIOL 335/335L to be taken in residence.
The B.S. in Athletic Performance does not lead to licensure or prepare students to practice within any scope restricted to a licensed professional. Students who wish to obtain a certificate or advanced degree in strength and conditioning will need to complete requirements according to those detailed by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
