Graduates with a computer science major are prepared in both the theoretical and practical aspects of computer science. They develop the ability to apply computer science to solve problems in science and business, ensuring they are ready for future graduate study or employment in industry. Graduates develop a broad understanding of computer science and an advanced knowledge of systems and software security through a combination of specialized and general courses.
The major in computer science leads to either a B.A. or a B.S. degree.
